Minimum hardware and system requirements for myAVIS™

Operating system:

MS Windows 2000/2003 server plus latest service pack (or MS Windows SBS server)
Appropriate number of Windows 2000/2003 server licenses (or MS Windows SBS server)
Appropriate number of MS Terminal services licenses if required

Database :

MS SQL server 2000/2005 plus latest service pack (included in MS SBS server)
Appropriate number of licenses for Windows 2000/2005 server (included with CAL MS SBS server)

Hardware:

Dedicated PC-based server with minimum configuration Intel Pentium IV 2GHz or Pentium IV XEON min 2000GHz, 512 Kb cache, min. 1 GB RAM and higher, secure disk space at least RAID 1 30 GB prior to installation of the product, set for automatic backup and with UPS battery backup.

Desktop PC version

Standard PC with Windows NT 4.0 / Windows 2000 / Windows XP. Note: Windows 95 / 98 / 98SE / ME are not supported. Processor Intel Pentium II or Pentium III 350 MHz and higher, minimum 64 MB RAM, 200 MB disk space prior to installation, network card minimum 10 Mbit connection to the myAVIS™ server, monitor minimum 15“ 1024z768/75 Hz with 65,535 colors and higher. UPS battery backup recommended. Inkjet or laser printer.

PDA

Standard PDA, industrial PDA, MDA, XDA devices, combined PDA and telephone with Xscale processor according to Microsoft Mobile Windows specifications or PocketPC 2002. 64 MB RAM and higher, touch display, serial or optical port for communicating with mobile telephone or modem. MS Windows 2002 CE and higher plus MS SQL 2000 CE server mobile database.

Mobile printers

Mobile inkjet printers, dot printers or thermo printers with IR, Bluetooth or serial port. A4 or bankable paper printing width.

Communication

TCP/IP and the selected replication method to the server part. It is recommended to install a firewall to protect the system against unauthorised penetration from the outside. Possible connection:

mobile phones with GPRS/APN data service (data gate) for the customer/operator connection
