12/29/2010 Soláň catered KVADOS myDAY 2010 – yearly employee meeting of the KVADOS group

KVADOS myDAY 2010, the otherwise regular working-social employee meeting of the KVADOS group, took place in hotel Soláň on the weekend of 20 – 21 November 2010. The KVADOS group prepared such conference also this year, unlike many other companies which desisted from organising such events due to the economic crisis. The new name of the event was promoted and it is now a KVADOS tradition which everyone looks forward to.

11/24/2010 PEMIC BOOKS migrates to the KVADOS data centre

PEMIC group, the long-standing partner of the KVADOS group, converts the operation of complete information system VENTUS to modern blade servers and data disposal sites of HP in data centre KVADOS. Also other production server systems, e.g. post system Microsoft Exchange or SharePoint, together with ERP solution VENTUS have migrated into new location and to new technologies. VENTUS had run yet divided according to the separate services on independent, today also obsolete server. Now, for example, database and exchange server are located on modern server architecture from HP.

11/18/2010 Bertelsmann group extends using of myAVIS™

IKAR a.s., the significant Slovakian publisher, the member of the international Bertelsmann group, has decided to introduce the mobile information system myAVIS™ SFA at the end of 2010. It will be used to manage mobile business processes in the field. The controlling company EUROMEDIA GROUP k.s., where myAVIS™ has been in routine operation on notebooks with touch screens, recommended it as a proven solution. IKAR a.s. is the biggest Slovakian publisher and ranks among the leading companies in the Slovakian book market.

10/29/2010 Preferred supplier of notebooks is HP for the next 3 years

KVADOS group has chosen the HP company as the preferred supplier of notebooks for the following three-year time period. Currently, the EliteBook 8540 model is taken. KVADOS regularly calls for tender, in whose framework it is searching for the best and most modern products and evaluates a lot of aspects, not only technical parameters, but also e.g. resistance. The price rate on the use value is taken into account.

10/7/2010 Danica extends myAVIS™ of SFA and Market Research

Danica d.o.o. ranked among the international group PODRAVKA extends using mobile information system. On the basis of previous superlative experience with myAVIS™, the traditional Croatian producer and distributor of meat products is also using the SFA module for pre-selling and Market Research module intended for marketing data collection. The complex solution will be in full operation since December 2010. Previous exemplary cooperation and knowledge of the environment enable implementation in record-short time period of 45 days.

9/26/2010 KVADOS and HTC support talents in the student project IT4YOU

KVADOS group in the cooperation with Czech HTC representatives support the project IT4YOU in the form of marketing consulting and clever mobile HTC devices providing. This project is the part of the international cooperation Junior Achievement. In this framework the students at Secondary school of teleinformatics in Ostrava have established the virtual company BOOMERANG, which has focused on observing of information technologies and reviews of the latest devices.

9/19/2010 Ostrava is a pioneer in the European mobile information systems

The KVADOS group made the use of the partnership conference IT FOR PEOPLE 2010, IT:=Ostrava taken place on 16 September 2010 and presented there the role of the mobile information systems over the last 10 years. At this professional meeting the audience was interested mainly in the trends of further development and position of Ostrava in this progression. Ostrava has grown from the originally mining and industrial city into the centre of the information technologies development.
